How to make Krispy Kreme style doughnuts at home!

Krispy Kreme are the king of douhgnuts (donuts?). Learn how to make similar Krispy Kreme style doughnuts for yourself at home with this simple recipe! Its fairly easy.

KRISPY KREME STYLE DOUGHNUTS RECIPE:

Ingredients:
(alternative measurements given in the video where relevant)
2 packs of yeast
⅓ cup lukewarm water
1½ cup milk
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
⅓ cup butter
5 cups plain flour
Vegetable oil

For the glaze:
½ cup butter
2 cups icing sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla flavouring
5 tablespoons milk

DIRECTIONS:
Add the yeast to the lukewarm water, leave for 5 minutes to proof/dissolve.
Scold the milk by microwaving for a couple of minutes.
Once cooled, add the milk to the yeast/water mix along with the sugar, salt, eggs, butter and flour.
Mix to a smooth dough consistency.
Cover with a cloth and leave for a couple of hours or until it rises to around double the size.
Roll out the dough to around a quarter-inch thickness.
Using a cookie cutter (or relevant sized bowls/glasses) cut out a number of doughnut shapes (circles with holes in the middle), leave to rise a little longer.
Warm around about three inches of vegetable oil in a large pan. When heated enough carefully lower in a donut to fry. Fry for around a minute on each side (until golden brown), then pull out to drain on a rack/paper towels. Repeat for all your donuts.
Whilst the complete set of doughnuts cools, make your glaze:
Melt the butter and then add in the icing sugar, vanilla and milk. Mix to smooth consistency.
Take your donuts, dip them in the glaze then leave to drip and dry.
Then eat them. Eat the donuts. ALL OF THEM. They are so nice. Mmmmmmm. DOUGHNUTS!
