Located downstairs in the excellent Leopold Square, you could be forgiven for thinking Aagrah looks small from the outside.
In fact the place is cavernous and stretches right underneath all the bars sat above.
This is destination eating, rather than end-of-night fayre to pacify the stomach after a tank full of beer.
The food is excellently prepared and very flavoursome. The curries are about as tasty as you'll get whilst there's a certain panache about the place that isn't offered at many curry houses.
There's a massive selection from the many pages in the menu, which is almost a downfall. Sometimes the choice can be overbearing.
Luckily there's a lot of recommendations and specials to go at, some of which have been served up at Bollywood awards ceremonies and more.
Pricing is probably a little heavier than most curry houses, but most curry houses don't produce like this place does.
Often it can get really busy - especially at weekends, so booking is advisable. Unfortunately sometimes it can get very loud when busy so it becomes a competition to be heard above the chatter in the massive restaurant. Service can get a little slow at these times too, but the staff are all excellent.
Good food and recommended... One day I *will* get round to ordering the whole cooked lamb that teases me from the menu!
